PRISM Sky is delivered with KONTACT (if ordered by the customer), an all in one handheld GCS integrated with a 12.4”, HD touchscreen device, Windows 10 operating system running the pre-installed Auterion Mission Control (AMC) flight application.

The KONTACT GCS is powered by two NP-F Series batteries. The charger for the NP batteries is included with the KONTACT handset.

KONTACT allows users to control sUA movement by manipulating the two joysticks, pressing buttons, and moving dials built into the grips. The integrated touchscreen provides an interface for additional settings, commands, and inputs through the Watts AMC flight application.

The functions of customizable buttons can be assigned in the Watts AMC application. Please note that the AMC app is under development, and future updates may assign specific purposes to these buttons.

The Touch screen monitor displays aircraft telemetry and video feed, while allowing the pilot to adjust settings, plan missions, and send commands to the sUA. The user may enter full-screen mode and clear the heads-up display (HUD) on the main screen by tapping twice at the center of the screen. The user brings back the HUD by tapping twice on the screen again.

This all in one handheld system provides simultaneous control uplink and video and vital flight telemetry downlink via a bi-directional 2.4 GHz data link with minimal latency. The touch screen interface also allows the pilot to change settings on the sUA’s flight control system, as well as plan and execute waypoint missions.

KONTACT weighs 6.6 pounds (3 kg), and its dimensions are 17” x 4” x 9.5” (43.18 cm x 10.16 cm x 24.13 cm). It features a six-core, high-performance processor, and large-capacity hot-swappable rechargeable lithium batteries. It may be safely operated in temperatures from -4° F (-20° C) to 131° F (55° C).
