A "hot start" can take 22 seconds or less so it is important to note if flying one mission then powering down and relocating, chances are your GCS GPS will need 2-4 minutes to grab new satellites.

There is a bug in Windows that causes Windows to misinterpret GPS data as mouse inputs. The GPS module for Remote ID is connected to a USB hub built into our main board inside of KONTACT. This causes the misinterpreted data from the GPS as mouse inputs to cause random, uninduced touch screen inputs. This will also prevent the GPS from operating for Remote ID compliance and finally, it will confuse our software into thinking that there are no batteries installed in KONTACT. Here are the steps to fix the issue permanently:
With the batteries installed in the back of KONTACT; power on KONTACT by pressing the power button at the top.
Once you arrive to the home screen, long hold on the Windows button at the bottom left of the screen and click on Device Manager.
Scroll down to Ports (COM & LPT)
There will be two COM ports. COM30 and another COM#. The # varies from KONTACT to KONTACT, but the COM30 will always be there.
Long hold on COM30 and click on Properties.
At the top click on Port Settings then Advanced.
On the bottom right under Miscellaneous Options uncheck the Serial Enumerator option.
Click OK and close out any other windows. Reboot KONTACT.
Follow the above steps to verify that Serial Enumerator remained off after a reboot.
Ensure you are on the and the aircraft is powered on.
