Once your PRISM Sky has been removed from its transport container and is fully assembled, locate the area of installation which is on the left side of the aircraft (outlined in blue). Continue following the instructions below.
WARNING: It is recommended to disconnect all power supply before proceeding.
Step 1: Locate and remove the four (4) screws show in the image below using the 2.0mm Hex Driver, store screws in transport container:
Two (2) screws from the right side of the GPS mast outlined in red.
Two (2) screws from the left side of the carbon plate outlined in green.
Step 2: Line up the included PRISM Sky DRS-25 Mount over the screw hole holes from the previous step using the four (4) M3x12 Stainless BLACK Button Head Bolts and Blue 243 Loctite. Be sure to add a drop of Blue 243 Loctite to each of the four (4) bolts before installing mount to the airframe and tighten to 5.6 in-lbs.
STEP 3: Locate the DRS-25 Canister + Top (w/ SD Card installed) and ensure it is mounted to the bracket in the holes shown below (red arrows) and the SD card is installed (green arrow).
STEP 4: Line up the DRS-25 dovetail design with the mating dovetail mount while simultaneously pulling out on the safety knob indicated by the green arrow.
STEP 5: With the pin pulled, line up and slide on the DRS-25 Parachute System.
STEP 6: Ensure the DRS-25 is fully installed by ensuring the pin is in its locked position holding the device to the bracket.
STEP 7: Rotate your work area area to the front of the aircraft to install the PRISM Sky DRS-25 data and power cable.
STEP 8: Using the 2.0mm Hex Driver, remove the four (4) front facing screws (indicated by the red arrows) and the one (1) downward facing screw (indicated by the green arrow) holding the FPV camera cover in place.
STEP 9: Carefully hold the FPV camera cover making sure to not kink or damage the FPV cable harness or connector. Route the included PRISM Sky DRS-25 data and power cable through the rubber grommet located under the FPV camera and plug the parachutes data and power cable into the JST connector labeled WARNING PARACHUTE ONLY!
PRO-TIP: To prevent damaging the JST connector on the parachute data and power cable, feed the 5 pin connector side down and through the rubber grommet. Pull a majority of the cable through, enough to plug the JST into the connector on the aircraft and not have any cable slack left over so you can easily reinstall the FPV camera cover without damaging any wire harnesses.
WARNING: DO NOT plug the PRISM Sky DRS-25 data and power cable into anything other than the port labeled WARNING PARACHUTE ONLY! This will cause damage indefinitely and may void your warranty.
STEP 10: With the FPV camera cover still open, route the PRISM Sky data and power cable to the bottom side of the DRS-25 Parachute Mount and using Velcro or electrical tape secure the bottom 12mm rail system.
STEP 11: Using the 2.0mm Hex Driver, reinstall the four (4) front facing screws and the one (1) downward facing screw removed in Step 8. Add a drop of Blue Loctite to each of the 4 screws on the front of the cover before reinstalling. The single bottom screw does not require Blue Loctite.
STEP 12: Insert the data and power cable by aligning the markings on the plug and the port. Then spin the silver portion of the plug to the right until it is tight. Ensure not to cross thread.
CAUTION: Users must use extreme caution when plugging in the parachute cable to ensure it is not plugged in incorrectly as this will ultimately fry the Skynode so it is imperative to line up the markings on the plug and the port.
